The Midnight Groovers boasts more than 40 years of grooving, representing the authentic roots music from Dominica will once again present their unique and distinctive sound to the World Creole Music Festival stage. Known for their hard-hitting, socially conscious lyrics and a sound that is as powerful today as it was 40 years ago, Groovers will excite and entertain its legions of cadence-lypso fans from far and near.
They are coming together to deliver another stellar performance from their large catalogue of over 35 albums and their many hit songs over the years. Led by the indomitable Phillip “Chubby” Mark on the bass or upfront, in association with his guitar and keyboard-playing brother, Marcel “Co” Mark, Groovers are among the greatest and most prolific Dominican musical groups of all time. The Grand Bay musical outfit is , impressive, versatile and equally entertaining. They have carved a niche for themselves in the annals of Dominica’s history and music culture for their legendary status and musical prowess.
