Sunrise Farm cottages is on the slope just above the Atlantic coast of Dominica. The place is very calm so you only hear the surf from the waves at night, beautiful stars in the night sky and perfect sunrises (but no sunsets since it faces East). They serve a basic breakfast from 7:30am onwards but since most people visiting will get going earlier than this you can ask for an earlier breakfast (we had 6:30am) the day before.

Simple place in a great setting just above the ocean

Only disadvantage is that it takes about an hour to drive along Dominica’s windy roads to get to Roseau Valley where many of the island’s interesting attractions are (Boiling Lake etc.). But if you stay near Roseau you will obviously be facing the Caribbean sea which does not have the same rough beauty as the Atlantic side.

I was in the poolside cottage. My cottage was clean and well kept and I enjoyed the balcony that overlooked the beautiful view of the ocean. The service at these cottages is impeccable, and I have only had pleasant experiences with the people in this area. I would visit again!

Great stay
